Day 1

7 04 2008

Got up this morning and rode the bike for a 30 minutes. Had my usual breakfast shake at 6:30 am. At 9:00 I was starving! I am going to have to eat a better breakfast. The work-out has me looking forward to my next. I am very tired this evening though. It is 9:30 and I am ready for bed. I hope my body adjusts to the new schedule so I can be more energetic at night with my kids. I know it will. In time, right?

Day 0

6 04 2008

Today is Sunday April 6, 2008. Tomorrow morning I am going to wake up and start what I hope to be a new way of life. Everyday I wake up and see my kids and say that I need to take care of myself so I will be around when they are older. I also think that it will set a good example for my children. As a physician that takes care of athletes I know how important it is to stay fit. I don’t want to be a hypocrite, and I like to lead by example. I hope I have the strength and will power to get myself into a routine. June 22 is my first triathalon. Here we go.
