Day 0
6 04 2008Today is Sunday April 6, 2008. Tomorrow morning I am going to wake up and start what I hope to be a new way of life. Everyday I wake up and see my kids and say that I need to take care of myself so I will be around when they are older. I also think that it will set a good example for my children. As a physician that takes care of athletes I know how important it is to stay fit. I don’t want to be a hypocrite, and I like to lead by example. I hope I have the strength and will power to get myself into a routine. June 22 is my first triathalon. Here we go.

How many triathlons have you done in the past? Check out the training plans at sweat365.com.
What distance is your first triathlon?
That is a fantastic reason for change and one that should keep you on track! Triathlon training becomes addicting, for me I love that you mix up the different sports rather than always training just one. Good luck!
My kids are a big reason why I transformed my life from fat kid to Ironman… I hope I can teach them that spiritual intellectual, and physical fitness are all important parts of well being.

There’s so much potential at day 0 - pure potential, clean slate, tabula rasa. I love to plan outward from day 0 and think of all the possibilities. Oh, the thinks you can think! I think I need to set my own Day 0. What, oh what, should my new goal be??? […]
