It has been awhile since I posted a blog. Twelve weeks have come and gone. The big race is Sunday. I have lost 2 inches on my waste 1 in on my neck, and lost 5 lbs since I started. I am in great shape, and I am very excited, and nervous, about my first sprint triathlon. I haven’t bee swimming in a group or open water yet, so if anyone has a tip or two I would appreciate it. Wish me luck.

The smim today was a challenge. I have no idea the distance I am swimming in 15 minutes but it is probably not far. open water swimming is harder. I just have to keep plugging away. Tomorrow will be a nice rest.

Today was my first bike and run. I did well. The run was easier this time believe it or not. I look forward now to each work out. It has been a week and I can already feel a difference in my energy levels during the day.

I enjoyed my first swim. 15 minutes in the water is tough, but I liked the work-out my upper body got. I started with the crawl stroke, but I found that the breast stroke was easiest. I have a swim and bike on Sunday and we will see how I do.

I have never enjoyed running. Now I am reminded why. I was able to complete 16 minutes than I walked 2 and finished the last 2. I know it will get easier, but I am going to have to learn to enjoy it.

Another Bike ride. Rode 5 more minutes than last time. It went well. I felt pretty energetic today. I am looking forward to my first run tomorrow.
